" Dear Michael, I wanted to drop you a line to thank you for the work of yourself and your team on the Storehouse Event for Arthurs Day 2011. We had never worked together before and it is very unusual for us to find ourselves in a position where we are appointing one of our most important partners, cold. I'll admit we had some nervousness but am delighted to say that you not only met the brief, but exceeded our expectations. I was particularly impressed by the work of yourself and Noel in advance of the event. You made yourself fully available, approached every challenge with a happy heart and despite never having worked with us before, I found myself somehow filled with a sense that you absolutely grasped the sensitivity of the situation in which we had to operate. Further, that you would do whatever it took to ensure that the partners with whom you were required to work were not threatened or alienated by your appointment, whilst also ensuring that we, as your clients, were left with a certainty that you were always acting in our best interests, regardless of whether it was behind the scenes or in public. A tricky balance to maintain, but one that you pulled off with some expertise. You also delivered on all your promises. Commitments made in a sales environment, that are all too often dismissed once contracts are won, were absolutely delivered in every sense. Further, we received more than expected, not less, and this is a rare service standard – particularly and in some ways, surprisingly, in the current economic climate. I am a very experienced critic but recognise and applaud professionalism when I see it. I appreciate the work and thought it takes to execute your business well and to deliver promises made. Quite simply, you did it. A huge well done. I have worked with many Security companies in my 20 years in this industry and your team definitely rank right up there. I would have no hesitation in recommending you and am happy for you to include me as a reference should you wish. I would also be grateful if you would forward this note to your team and pass on my thanks to them. It is important that they know their efforts are recognised and duly acknowledged.
